Pvt. John Kerr, Company E, 18th Missouri Infantry
Born in Ireland, his family moved back and forth several times from Iowa to Missouri. He enlisted on 27 July 1861 in Missouri with his occupation listed as farmer. He was mortally wounded at Shiloh, shot in the head, and later died in Keokuk, Iowa on 23 or 24 April 1862 due to those wounds.
